NATIONAL HIGH MAGNETIC FIELD LABORATORY (NHMFL)

and

Center for Advanced Power Systems (CAPS)
at FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY
in the U.S.A.

and

CENTER FOR APPLIED SUPERCONDUCTIVITY TECHNOLOGY (CAST)
in the REPUBIC OF KOREA

December 10, 2001

Collaborative Research Agreement (hereinafter referred to as CRA) concerning
The Applied Technology of High-Tc Superconductors (hereinafter referred to as HTS).

This CRA is made and entered into by and among Prof. Hans J. Schneider-Muntau of the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Prof. Peter G. McLaren of the Center for Advanced Power Systems, both at Florida State University (hereinafter referred to as NHMFL & CAPS-FSU) in the U.S.A. and Dr. Kang-Sik Ryu of the Center for Applied Superconductivity Technology (hereinafter referred to as CAST) in Korea.

WHEREAS, NHMFL & CAPS-FSU and CAST wish to extend mutual understanding in the
development of HTS technologies, such as the following fields:
- HTS transformer
- HTS motor
- High performance Ag sheathed tapes with improved PIT technique
- YBCO coated conductor
